Wild Wing Images 2026 Woman’s 4 Night Photography and Storytelling Camp

Wild Wing Images has designed a Woman’s five day, four night photography and storytelling camp with
places for 7 participants. The trip runs from a rustic farmhouse near Northcliffe and covers a broad range of
photographic situations while exploring the diverse, rugged and very beautiful landscapes that surround
Meerup, Pemberton and Windy Harbour in the far South West corner of WA. There will be opportunity to
photograph birds, frogs, marsupials, orchids, flowers, insects, spiderwebs, waterfalls, ocean, old growth
Karri and Tingle forest, the ancient Warren River, the fascinating Yeagarup Dune System, a wild Southern
Ocean, rugged coastal cliffs, pure white beaches, and billion stars at night.

Photography and storytelling go hand in hand. To create a beautiful image you need ideas, thought,
practice, knowledge, experience, skill and often luck. These are also ingredients for a story along with
awareness of your inner world and an understanding of broader contextual elements such as environment,
ecology, history and science. It takes practice, patience and time to weave these elements together with
words but like anything, skill develops with consistent effort. Very often language is not enough, but
somehow with a good weave and quality ingredients, words begin to shimmer and the magic speaks for
itself.
These trips are not about creating perfect images or stories but rather to expand on the meaning and
connection photography and writing can bring to your life. It will be a different experience for everyone.
Each trip brings together individuals with unique backgrounds, life experience, skill, knowledge and
wisdom. There will be different perceptions, strengths, ideals, priorities, beliefs and obstacles. It is in the
difference that wisdom dances with the space between always an opportunity to deepen our human
experience and lift others up with kindness and humour.
