Manjimup Heritage Park Turns 40

In 2026, the much-loved Manjimup Heritage Park celebrates its 40th birthday, marking four decades of welcoming locals and visitors to this special part of the South West.

The park officially opened on 11 October 1986 during the Manjimup Timber Festival and has been an important place for the community ever since. Over the past 40 years, it has welcomed generations of families, locals and tourists, creating plenty of wonderful memories along the way.

A week of celebrations

To celebrate this milestone, the Shire of Manjimup is planning a week of activities around the park’s 40th birthday.

It’s a great opportunity to explore Manjimup, discover more about the area’s rich history and enjoy the community atmosphere that makes the Southern Forests so special.

If you’re staying in Pemberton, consider making a day of it. Spend some time exploring the magnificent karri forests, local attractions and townships, then head to Manjimup to enjoy the Heritage Park celebrations.
