Nestled in the heart of the Southern Forests, just a short drive from Big Brook Dam, the Big Brook Arboretum offers visitors a chance to explore an enchanting collection of trees from around the world. Originally established in the 1930s to trial exotic species for plantation purposes, the arboretum now stands as a tranquil escape for nature lovers, families, and adventurers alike.
The arboretum is home to towering sequoias (American redwoods), elegant spotted gums from New South Wales, and patches of the native karri forest that Pemberton is renowned for. Meander along the walking trails to immerse yourself in this unique mix of flora, or simply relax under the shade of these remarkable trees while listening to the soothing sounds of nature.
Big Brook Arboretum offers camping for tents, campervans, camper trailers, and caravans. The campground is surrounded by beautiful tall trees and a 1.2km walk to Big Brook Dam.
