All aboard at the Pemberton Railway Station for these return services which meander through towering Karri and Marri over trestle bridges spanning rivers and streams along one of Australia’s most majestic rail lines.

The Pemberton Tramway Company Pty Ltd is a privately operated tourist railway in the south west of Western Australia, which conveys tourists through deep forests and picturesque countryside as well as recreating the history of the timber railways that were so important to the regions development and growth. The railway operates diesel hydraulic trams over a total route length of 10kms.

Trams run south to the Cascades Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, throughout the year. On School Holidays we may operate on Sundays, please check your options when booking below.

As you admire the breath taking view on the journey, your tram driver gives an informative commentary on the forest, the Tramway and the history of the region. In springtime, September, October and November, you will find the forest is resplendent with colourful wildflowers.

Cascades
This 75 minute return service shuffles out of Pemberton, past the Saw Mill and descends deep into the Karri forest. The tram meanders through forest, crossing three bridges, stopping at the Cascades for 25 minutes before returning to Pemberton Station.

One-Way Option: If a forest walk along the Bibbulmun track is of interest, you can walk at your own pace from the Cascades back to Pemberton’s Gloucester tree. A car drop-off service can be arranged if you contact us ahead of time. Please book your one-way ticket at the station.
