John Duncan is a self-taught painter and retired rural labourer who has called the South-West region of W.A. home since the late 1960s. Working primarily with acrylics, with occasional forays into watercolours, John’s art captures the essence of everyday life in the South-West. His subjects range from families and pets to farm animals and local landscapes. Though he describes himself as a “regional hack,” John’s work is rich in warmth and authenticity, resonating deeply with those who call this region home.
