Go with The Flow…

PembertonBy Pemberton | 11/26/2024

Pemberton recently had the pleasure of hosting the team from Flow Mountain Bike, who explored our town’s renowned mountain biking trails. Their visit highlighted the unique blend of old-school charm and modern trail design that Pemberton offers to mountain biking enthusiasts.

The Pemberton Mountain Bike Park, established in 2007, features 36 km of singletrack trails just outside town. Recently revamped by local trail builders Three Chillies Design, the park retains its rugged, hand-built character, complete with timber drops, log rollers, and flowing berms. This combination of features provides a challenging and enjoyable experience for riders of all skill levels.

In addition to the existing trails, a new network is under development in the Arboretum Forest, with over 20 km of fresh singletrack set to open in 2025. These machine-built flow trails are designed to introduce riders to trail riding, with predominantly green and blue tracks, and plans for a black diamond descent to cater to more advanced riders.

Beyond the trails, Pemberton offers a range of attractions for visitors. The Gloucester Tree, a 61-metre giant that once served as a fire lookout, is set to reopen for climbing in 2025. The area also boasts high ropes courses, picturesque waterfalls like the Cascades, and the rocky rapids of the Lefroy Brook loop trail. For those looking to cool off after a ride, the Pemberton Pool, located at the trailhead of the mountain bike park, provides a refreshing retreat.

We are grateful to Flow Mountain Bike for showcasing Pemberton’s mountain biking offerings and look forward to welcoming more riders to experience our trails and natural beauty.
