School Holiday Adventures at RAC Karri Valley Resort

With school holidays just around the corner, we were on the lookout for somewhere that could entertain our little ones and give us a bit of downtime as parents. After hearing about RAC Karri Valley Resort’s Family Day Pass, we decided to give it a go—and it was absolutely worth it!

Daily Fun for Everyone

Right from the get-go, the kids were bursting with excitement. The Resort Scavenger Hunt was a huge hit; it kept them busy, curious, and exploring every corner of the resort. They loved hunting for clues and discovering little treasures along the way, while we enjoyed a coffee and watched them dash around.

One of the unexpected highlights was the Colouring-In Competition. The kids settled in for some quiet time each afternoon, and they were thrilled when winners were announced each morning. It was such a treat for them to see their work displayed, and it gave them a fun project to look forward to.

And every now and then, we’d grab a Family Day Pass and start the day with Free Mini Golf. Our kids are just the right age to love a bit of friendly competition, and mini golf was the perfect way to get their energy out before lunch.

Extra Treats on the Weekends

The weekend events added an extra sparkle to our stay. Our youngest absolutely loved the Face Painting at the Lodge, and the Make Your Own Ice-Cream Sundae afternoon was a huge highlight for everyone! The kids piled on toppings and created their masterpieces, and we all enjoyed a few bites (or more!).

On Sundays, we made a point to enjoy the Sunday Roast at the Lakeside Restaurant. It was a welcome break from cooking, and the lake view added such a beautiful backdrop to our meal. And with full tummies, we’d round out the day with Food, Drink & Games at the Lodge, where the kids would find new friends to play games with, and we could unwind.

Adventures for Parents and Kids Alike

For a bit of extra adventure, the resort has Canoeing on Lake Beedelup, Bike Hire, and even Spotlighting at night. While we didn’t manage to fit everything into this trip, we loved knowing that these options were there. We’re already planning to come back and try out the archery—the kids are keen to show us their skills!

The Perfect Day Out

The best part? You don’t have to be staying at the resort to join in.

The Family Day Pass gives you access to all the fun without needing to book a room. We loved having the freedom to drive over, spend a full day making memories, and then head back home with happy (and tired!) kids.
